Fondly called the ‘City of Lakes’, Bhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh and considered the heartland of India. Located amidst exquisite lakes, the city is a beautiful combination of regal heritage and breath-taking natural landscapes. Bhopal l is a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It's one of India’s greenest cities. There are two main lakes, the Upper Lake and the Lower Lake. On the banks of the Upper Lake is Van Vihar National Park, home to tigers, lions and leopards. The State Museum has fossils, paintings and rare Jain sculptures. Taj-ul-Masjid is one of Asia’s largest mosques, with white domes, minarets and a huge courtyard. “The name (Bhopal) is popularly derived from Bhojpal or Bhoj’s dam, the great dam which now holds up the Bhopal city lakes, and is said to have been built by a Minister of Raja Bhoj,the Parmar ruler of Dhar. The still greater work which formerly held up the Tal (lake) being attributed to this monarch himself. The name is, however, invariably pronounced, Bhupal and Dr. Fleet considers it to be derived simply from Bhupala, a King, the popular derivation being an instance of the striving after a meaning so common in such cases.” Bhopal, also called the ‘City of Royals’ has a long, imperative history. Between 1819 and 1926, it was ruled by the generation of Begums, who gave the city its waterworks, railways, a postal system, and a municipality constituted in 1907.
About STPI Bhopal
STPI has established a State-of-Art Incubation center at Bhopal with 24,427.7 square feet built up space in the land measuring 3 acres provided by the State Government. The building is designed with GREEN BUILDING concept wherein emphasis has been laid on natural lighting concept in maximum rooms and eco friendly environment. The building is having ground plus two floors which are Centrally Air Conditioned, EPAPX System for inter-communication and ample of parking space around the building. The state-of-the-art Network Operation Center (NOC), equipped with infrastructure which would ensure the best services. Effective Routers and switches with ample bandwidth are ensured at the NOC. The centre has redundant bandwidth to provide 100% uptime to the NOC. The centre is providing its services to IT/ITeS/Start ups/MSME since July 2018.
